| Tjumy Records / Music Blog | | | Tjumy Records | | A new label from Vienna, Austria - the city known better for coffeshops and downtempo sound in the late 90ies. Tjumy Records is going other ways concentrating on releasing quality House and Techno Records with deepness and influences from Dub to all sorts of good music.
The first release on Tjumy Records comes from WHARE, the musical project of the two label owners Christian Konvicka and Simon Birner. WHARE’s singer Colee Royce is no member of the Village People, though you may think so when you see him, because he does his day’s work, when he is not at the recording studio, as a traffic policeman in Chicago.
„Pretty Lady“ is a rework of an older CrisCo track and combines the feathery lightness of the original with the „four to the floor“ leg shaking factor of House, but not without a good portion of soulful deepness.
The original mix is deep, down and dubby House music, paying tribute to the early House sounds of Chez Damier and Ron Trent.
Matt Flores` remix stays deep yet concentrates more on the Groove of the original with additional Sub-Woofer power for the late night dance floor.
Herb LF and Cassique deliver a Deep House remix with funky stabs, warm synths and “sexy” vocal snippets.
